Alcoholics Anonymous or AA On-Line: http://www.aa-intergroup.org/directory.php [Utilizes ZOOM.] This includes meetings, chats and other forums. Alcoholics Anonymous is an international mutual aid fellowship with the stated purpose of enabling its members to "stay sober and help other alcoholics achieve sobriety." AA is nonprofessional, self-supporting, and apolitical. Its only membership requirement is a desire to stop drinking.
Miscellaneous 12 Step On-Line Groups: https://www.12step.org The meetings for 12 step groups originally took place (and still do) in physical buildings like churches, hospitals, schools, mission houses or any place that freely allow such meetings. Over the years, with improving technology and especially with the advent of the internet, the meeting venues have expanded to also include online meetings or tele-meetings (meetings on a shared phone line). The online meetings may take place using different means of communications like text-only chat, voice or video (e.g., Skype).
Narcotics Anonymous On-Line: https://virtual-na.org/ All the meetings on the Virtual NA meetings lists are sorted by language and day of the week. The meeting times are based on local device time. Narcotics Anonymous describes itself as a "nonprofit fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem". Narcotics Anonymous uses a traditional 12-step model that has been expanded and developed for people with varied substance abuse issues and is the second-largest 12-step organization.
